Cleaning out your book shelves? All through with that DVD or music CD?

Box up your books, CDs and DVDs and bring them to the Friends. The Friends Volunteers will sort your donations and get them ready for our big Book Sales (which will convert them into financial support for Friends and PPLD  programs and activities that inform, entertain and inspire).

We especially appreciate receiving:

Books:

• Fiction (hardback and paperback)
  

• Current textbooks
  

• Cookbooks
  

• Reference materials
  

• Classic literature
  

• History and Americana
  

• Children's books
  

• Rare and antique books
  

Magazines:

• Current issues (within the past 12 months) of popular magazines
  

• Older issues of "collectible type" magazines including history magazines, art and antiques, better decorating magazines like Architectural Digest and Metropolitan Homes, fine cooking/recipes, and other "thicker, slick" magazines.
  

Friends Donation Policy

The Friends of the Pikes Peak Library District accepts book, CDs and DVDs in good condition for resale. Materials that do not fit our needs are recycled in appropriate ways. Donations are accepted at East Library, Penrose Library and all branch libraries during scheduled library hours. For large donations at Penrose Library and East Library, please ask the security person at the front desk for assistance. Donations should be in boxes weighing 50 pounds or less.

Private and commercial donations are welcome. For more information, contact the Friends by email or call the Friends Bookstore/Book Coordinator at 531-6333 x 1008.
